Jacek Piwowarczyk Photography - Trekking around Dhaulagiri


Passed the next large village of Darbang where all the trekkers must show their permits at the local Police station, the trail climbed steeply through a dense forest to Dharapani - the largest settlement in the valley. The second night on the trek we spent in Takum – a nice village beautifully located among incredibly curved green rice paddies where we found a comfortable lodge – one of the last along the trek. The village offers a beautiful view over the snow-covered mountains of Dhaulagiri Himal Range.
