LUZON ISLAND BANAUE (IFUGAO) AREA/CENTRAL COLDILLERA Banaue Area located in Central Cordillera in the northern part of Luzon Island is famous for its splendid terraces and interesting Ifugao culture. The best areas to actually see those paddies are Banaue View Point (just below) and first of all famous Batad Village, which requires about two hours hike one way. Batad terraces have been dubbed the eight wonder of the world and are located in the huge valley which over 150 metres slopes have been cut into incredible shapes.
