FIORDLAND Fiordland - the most SW part of New Zealand is the largest National Park in the country - and definitely one of the most spectacular. It covers a vast area of over 2000 high glaciered mountains and some of the deepest fiords on the planet. The most often visited fiords include Milford Sound and Doubtful Sound and trips usually begin in Te Anau.
