Dhunche is a pleasant town with stone houses and excellent accommodation for trekkers. Apart from farming and running hotels the main activity of people there (mainly women) is weaving.

A small stupa overlooking Dhunche along the road to Bharkhu.
The village of Bharkhu - the first one if beginning the trekking from Dhunche is located amidst beautiful terraces along the road to Syabru Bensi. From there, the trail leaves the main road and climbs steeply towards the ridge of Nawor Danda.
