The lowest part of Gunsa valley is an amazing gorge with steep slopes. Below the confluence with Tamur River the valley widens. The trail, now much easier to follow, crosses a bridge over Simbua River, then passes a few poor villages and eventually gets to the much bigger settlement of Taphetok with an excellent campsite.

Thick clouds were covering Tamur River Valley where we pitched the camp in Tapethok.
