Trekking - Day 16
Pamgpema - Khambachen

A long day descending down all the way from Pangpema to Khambachen. Unfortunately clouds that use to accompany the valley, usually in the afternoon covered us from Lhonak. The temperature dropped suddenly and even it began to snow a little bit. That night we spent in the herder's hut.
Trekking - Day 17
Khambachen - Gunsa

Another day of descend down Gunsa valley towards Gunsa village. There are splendid views over Jannu just below Khambachen, however morning sunshine despite waiting for one hour was still not good enough for decent pictures (left).

Phole (3180 m)

Phole is a scattered village inhabited by Tibetans who fled here in 1959, following the Chinese invasion of the country. The houses are built of stone and timber. The villagers are mainly engaged in agriculture, carpets weaving and shop keeping selling snacks, drinks and souvenirs to passing by terriers.
