About one hour from our camping place following a faint path, we reached the Chhonbardan Glacier falling from the northern slopes of Dhaulagiri. The glacier was covered with fresh snow covering dangerous crevasses and making moving forward difficult. Gradually weather was deteriorating and it began top snow. At about 4200 metres, we decided to pitch another camp. Reaching the Base Camp in such weather conditions was impossible. The decision was praised even more lately in the evening, which brought a snow storm lasted for few hours into the night.

Fortunately good weather returned next morning. All the cloud disappeared but the glacier was buried in fresh virgin snow.
