CAPE CROSS SEAL COLONY
Cape Cross - 115 kilometers north from Swakompund is a historic place where the Portuguese navigator Diego Cao, the first European traveler, set the foot on the Namibian land. Apart from the historic significance, there is also a 100-thousand seal colony nearby. Behind the wall, one can admire thousands of creatures covered with thin fur. Some of them move lazily from one place to another. Those, closest to the ocean are drenched with rolling waves. Some of them merrily enjoy themselves in the water.
