GUANGZHOU

Guanzgzhou is the capital of Guangdong Province - probably the most developed and the wealthiest province of China. It is actually quite uninterested city (at least for me) and most of the places of interest are located outside the town. My favourite area however is the tiny Shamian Island (pictures below) with Western colonial architecture, lovely park, some good pubs and restaurants, art galleries and European atmosphere. Shamian Island looks particularly nice in the evening as most of the Colonial buildings are nicely illuminated. Other tourists spots within the city include Nine Banyan Pagoda, Antique Market and few parks.
