EMEI SHAN

Emei Shan is one of the Middle Kingdom's four Buddhist mountains. There is very interesting path to the top passing by some very interesting temples and monasteries (some dating back to 14th century) which also serve as accommodation as well as impressing rain forest full of tropical vegetation and monkeys. The paths are sometimes very steep and weather usually cloudy, misty and rainy. However, the best view is from the top which is always very crowded packed with thousands of people hoping to admire spectacular sunrise with a sea of cloud underneath.
