(Chang Jiang) is one of the greatest world rivers. Its sources are
high in the Tibetan plateau and the river flows all the way across
China to East China Sea near Shanghai. The most famous part of the
river is call the Three Gorges and is going to be partially submerged
by waters of huge reservoir that will be created by the Three Gorges
Damn - the biggest and the most controvential hydroelectric project
in the world. The lake has been already created but the boats still
run. The trip starts in Chongqing - China's largest and fastest
developing city and usually ends in Wuhan. It takes three days but
is well worthwhile!.
