FOSHAN
Foshan is a medium size industrial town just 28 km SE of Guangzhou.
The main tourist attraction of the town is magnificent Ancestor
Temple in the middle of the town with 2500 kg bronze statue of
Beidi, the Taoist god of the water and all its denizens, especially
fish, turtles and snakes. I also fund stucco sculptures exceptionally
interesting and many of them can be seen below. Foshan is also
famous for its china factories and numerous shops sell plates,
glasses, figures and other ceramic stuff.
