SHANGHAI
Shanghai
is probably the second largest city in China (after Chongqing in
Sichuan) and definitely one of the most intriguing. With its long
history, wonderful remnants of its glorious history, the city is
developing now with incredible pace and its modernity brings it
to the same league as Hong Kong or Singapore. I was in Shanghai
quite briefly in May 2002 but thanks to unusual hospitality of Commercial
Consul and his wife from the Polish Consulate I had a great time
and managed to see quite a lot in a short period of time. The weather
was not perfect but the outcome of pictures remarkably good.
