KAMPONG TRACH Kampong Trach is the south-easternmost district of Kampot Province. During the UNTAC elections in 1992-1993 I spent five months working and living there before moving to the neighbouring Bantaey Meas district for another two months. During that period, I visited most of the villages in the area and took some nice rural scenery as well as Cambodian people. I came back to Kampong Trach seven years later to find out that nothing has changed, except the roads that had been fined by the UN soldiers were dilapidated again.
