Udong used to be a the seat of Cambodian kings from 1610 to 1866 and an interesting trip 40 km north from Phnom Penh.. Unfortunately almost all of the buildings have been destroyed by Khmer Rouge in 1970s. |

Tonle Bati
Tonle Batil, located about 33 km south of Phnom Tenh along Takeo
Road is a popular picnic spot nowday with two temples and a nice
lake. The main temple - worth visiting, 12th-century Ta Phrom Temple
looks quite similar to minor Angkor temple and contains some well
preserved bass-reliefs. During the week Tonle Bati is a very peaceful
place.
